João Lourenço was speaking to the press, on the fringes of the opening ceremony to launch the "Presidential Golf Day" tournament.
The statesman said that the tender for the construction of Corimba's Marginal was canceled for compelling reasons.
The annulment of the tender is contained in Presidential Order No. 72/19 of May 15, which alleges "over-charging in the amounts of these contracts with services costly to the State".
"The contracts related to the implementation of the Corimba Marginal Project, approved by Presidential Order No. 9/16, of January 25," are canceled and resolved, "says João Lourenço.
The cancellation of Contract for Dredging, Land Reclamation and Coast Protection was signed with Urbinveste and Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors BV, both in an external consortium, with an amount standing at USD 615.2 million.
Another Contract for the Design, Project and Construction, Execution and Completion of Infrastructure, according to the Presidential Order, had been signed with the LANDSCAPE companies and branch in Angola of China Road and Bridge Corporation, both also in external consortium.
The latter foresees a global value in kwanzas, equivalent to USD 690.1 million.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Order authorises the Minister of Construction and Public Works to renegotiate and sign new contracts with the two companies holding the external financing, "with reduction to the limits of the values ??of the initial projects.
