The contracts for the implementation of the Corimba Marginal Project, in Luanda, were annulled by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, through Presidential Order No. 72/19, of May 15, which alleges "overcharging in the amounts of these contracts with costly services to the State.
Speaking at a press conference, about the project concerning the Works of Corimba Marginal, the official said that the prices of the project were above the costs practiced in the national market.
He considered the annulment of the contracts by the Angolan Executive to be normal and legitimate, since the works had not yet begun.
The canceled contracts relate to the implementation of Dredging, Land Claim and Coast Protection, estimated at USD 615 million, which had been concluded with the Urbinveste and Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors BV companies, both in an external consortium.
