TAAG announces plans to double international routes

Luanda - Angolan Airlines (TAAG) is planning to increase from 15 to 33 the number of routes from different destinations, such as those in North and South America and Asia, announced Friday in Luanda the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D'Abreu.

To achieve this goal, the minister pointed to the measures such as opening of a set of international operators to operate in Angola, strengthen the connection in the African continent, change the airport management framework and to ensure the safety and security of air transport.

Ricardo D'Abreu, who was speaking on "Tourism in Angola - Realities and Perspectives", on the second day of the World Tourism Forum, said that investments in airport infrastructure are underway in the country.

He mentioned the case of the new International Luanda Airport, which will turn the Angolan capital into an international giant in the air transport sector.

The Forum was opened Thursday (23) by the President of  Republic, João Lourenço.

Friday, the event is focused on debates and lectures, with stress to the theme "Environment and business opportunities and Impact of Tourism in global economies".
