ANPG and ENI announce their fifth oil discovery in Block 15/06

Luanda - The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) and ENI announced Monday a new oil discovery in Block 15/06, in Angola's deepwater, with estimated reserves of 300 to 400 million barrels of light oil.

With the discovery made in the Agidigbo exploration prospect, ENI brings to five the number of wells drilled successfully in Block 15/06, after Kalimba, Afoxé, Agogo, Ndungu, the latter with reserves estimated at 250 million barrels.


The discovery in the exploration prospect Agidigbo was drilled by the West Gemini probe in a water depth of 275 meters and is located 10 km southeast of the East Hub facilities of the same block reaching the total depth of 3,800 meters.


The ANPG and the Contractor Group of Block 15/06, consisting of ENI (operator, 36.8421%), Sonangol P & P (36.8421%) and SSI Fifteen Limited (26.3158%), will continue to work to accelerate its development technically and professionally in line with what is best done worldwide, economically and environmentally sustainable.


In Angola, ENI has an average daily production of 150 thousand barrels.
