Lunda Sul Province receives tractors for agriculture

Saurimo - At least thirty tractors were delivered last Wednesday by the Agriculture Ministry to the eastern Lunda Sul Province government, aimed to boost production through mechanised agriculture in the region.

For the present agricultural campaign, over 101,500 hectares have been prepared for the cultivation of tubers, cereals, vegetables and fruits, with the involvement of 68,978 peasant families.   

Still for the same campaign, the Agrarian Development Institute (IDA) has supplied 40 tonnes of fertilisers, as well as other agricultural inputs.

The governor of Lunda Sul Province, Daniel Neto, has said that the distribution of tractors is a display of the institutional commitment to the development of the agricultural sector.
