Infotur, TAAG present project to promote tourism
Luanda - The Tourism Promotion Institute (Infotur) and Angola Airlines (TAAG) presented Tuesday a project dubbed "Stopover" tourism, which allows tourists to stop over to know the other regions of Angola, before their final national or international destination.

Stopover may be free or paid. The former consists of possibility of one price for two destinations, on the same trip, spending a few days in the city connecting his final destination.
While the latter allows stops of longer than 24 hours to know the regions and tourist sites, but paying a tiny amount by including more flights in your travel route.
In order to achieve the this goal, due to be implemented by 2020, the two institutions met Tuesday with private operators from the tourism sector and public entities, to clarify on the initiative.
The initiative, according to the Infotur director, Simão Pedro, is intended to reach goals such as increased tourist turnover, passenger flow by at least five percent, and consumption of tourist goods and services.
The domestic tourist destinations for the Stopover are the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Huila, Namibe, Malanje, Zaire and Cuando Cubango.
As for the issuing countries, that is, whose tourists stop over in Angola and which can be counted on for the Stopover, are South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, China Brazil, US, France and United Kingdom.
