Making an assessment of the exhibition that opened last Wednesday, Ivan do Prado pointed to self-sufficiency in food through industrialization as a priority of the Ministry of Industry.

The event brought together more than 300 exhibitors and more than 18,000 visitors, surpassing the numbers of the previous edition, which had 200 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.

According to the organizers, the four days of work were positive because the entrepreneurs established partnerships and made sales.

With regard to the exhibition, the president of the Angola Industrial Association (AIA), José Severino, praised the initiative, having justified the improvement of the previous editions, in terms of organization, participation and visits.

Unveiled last Wednesday by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the fair was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Arena Eventos and featured national companies from the cereal, meat, cotton, tobacco, sugar, beer, cement, wood sectors and furniture sectors.

It also welcomed companies in the oil refining, tire, fertilizer, pulp, glass, steel, soap, salt, sausage, dairy, juice, soft drink, mineral water, paints and varnish, paper, cardboard, plastic, steel tubes and material sectors of civil construction.

Companies from Bengo, Benguela, Namibe, Huíla and Cuando Cubango took part in the event.

The closing ceremony was marked by the delivery of participation certificates to over 300 national exhibitors.
