According to the municipal director of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Icolo and Bengo, João Domingos, speaking to ANGOP, this document will allow greater security regarding the ownership of the land, making it legal properties.
The official said that the program aims to promote the allocation of land rights to the holders of land that meet the legal requirements.
He underlined that land tenure, recognition and land tenure titles will make it easier for peasants to access credit at financial and banking institutions.
With these titles, he added, cooperatives and associations will be able to acquire agricultural resources that will contribute to the increase of local production.
João Domingos stressed that the agriculture directorate will work to organize more than 150 agricultural cooperatives to reach the 200 titles that the Government has in each municipality of the 18 provinces of Angola.
The municipality of Icolo e Bengo has 27 agricultural associations, of which 12 legalized and 22 agrarian cooperatives.
