Power transfomer vandalization causes AKz 25 million loss to ENDE

Luanda - The vandalization and burning of a Power Transformer (PT) at dawn on Thursday (02), on Catete Road (Fermat), in Luanda, caused damage to the National Distribution company ENDE of almost 25 million kwanzas.

In addition to this damage, the total burning of the PT, by individuals still unknown, also deprived the public lighting network of the FTU / INEA (Angolan Roads Institute) perimeter, according to the distribution center's director of Kilamba Kiaxi, Pedro Buca.

Asked about the lack of public lighting in some parts of Catete Road, the official explained that, in addition to the vandalizing of electrical equipment, the problem also concerns the lack of regular maintenance of the electrical system.
