National production bet slows down Imports

Luanda - The national production bet, through agro-industrial initiatives, will help reduce imports of several products to the country, said last Monday, the Minister of Agriculture and Frorest, António Francisco de Assis.

Minister of Agriculture visits company SIGA and Kikuxi farm

The government official, speaking at the end of a field journey visit to the SIGA factory and the farm Pérola do Kikuxi, said that it is an action that will continue and its purpose is to get updated on the data of the national production.

For this reason, he appealed to the national investors to prioritize the dialogue in order to find solutions to the issues faced on the investments.

On the other hand, he stressed the production of the "Blue plastic bag" to cover the banana bunches.

In terms of the Pérolas do Kikuxi's farm, he said that it is crucial for the egg import reduction program, mainly, and also the creation of conditions for other sectors on the same level as the agricultural, such as the maize production, looking to the need of feeding the birds.
