The minister, who spoke to the press at the national workshop to analyze the plans and information reports of the provincial governments, explained that statistics and planning are important tools for the management of public administration.
For him, the correct use of techniques for the collection, treatment of information reported by the GEPs and the use of new information technologies will allow public decision-makers to improve decision-making and give concrete results to the problems faced by the population.
"The information should not wait for a quarterly or monthly report in order to be able to give quick answers about prices, availability of production, among other matters that must be reported in a timely manner", he said.
On the other hand, he informed that a statistics training center will be opened to ensure that the correct methodologies for collecting, processing and disseminating information are uniform and in the same format.
