Speaking to ANGOP, the head of Dondo Agricultural Development Station (EDA), Manuel Mateus, said the lack of agricultural equipment forces peasants to prepare the land manually, a fact that hampers the increase of the agricultural production in the region.

According to Manuel Mateus, 424 hectares of land will be prepared in the third season, which takes place from May to August, whose plantation will be conducted by757 families, probably manually, due to the lack of mechanized means.

Early during a meeting with director of Economic Affairs of the Municipal Administration and local farmers, with aim to assess the agricultural season, the farmers expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of support from the government, especially in the shortage of mechanized means support.
