SonAir to shut down domestic flights Sunday
Luanda - SonAir will shut down, as from the 31st of this month (May), the domestic flight operations on Beechcraft 1900 D type aircraft, for the routes of Luanda / Soyo / Luanda, Luanda / Cabinda / Luanda, and the interprovincial flights between Soyo and Cabinda.

A Sonair plane
This decision was taken in accordance with what was foreseen in the ongoing restructuring process at the Sonangol Group (state-owned oil company), according to a public statement to which ANGOP has had access.
Founded on February 16, 1998, in Luanda, SonAir is one of the subsidiaries of the Sonangol Group, with the core business of supporting the oil industry.
In addition to domestic flights, SonAir covers the Luanda-Houston route, called "Houston Express", operated by Atlas Air.
