Over USD 300,000 spent on social projects
Huambo - More than USD 300,000 was spent on the execution of social projects focused on development strategies of the communities in central Huambo province from January to June this year.

This was announced Monday by Non-Governmental Organisation Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA).
Releasing the data to ANGOP, the head of this organisation in Huambo, Cidália Gomes, predicted that the budget for this year may stand at about USD 700,000.
Funded under the social responsibility of international organisations and oil companies, the amount was earmarked for the execution of projects to strengthen the institutional capacity of farmers associations and cooperatives, he said.
He said that the projects covered, among others, the municipalities of Bailundo, Caála and Longonjo.
