Camilo Ceita recalled Thursday that the work was supposed to end in the middle of October 2020.

Speaking on the sidelines of the biweekly briefing of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, he said that 400 technicians were working on the data collection in the country.

He said that the technicians include those of enumerators, cartographers, computer experts, drivers and technicians from INE Provincial Services.

INE director said that the work planned to end in October,  would go to the last stage (administrative collection) with the Major Taxpayers in collaboration with the General Tax Administration (AGT).

The process runs in three phases:  the first of which took place only in Luanda, with focus on registration until the end of July 2020, having covered 48,000 companies and facilities, followed, subsequently, in the remaining 17 provinces, since August.

The census is intended to collect information from companies and establishments to be available in the single company file, in order to advise and assist in decision-making by the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
