Official praises importance of Higher Education Statistics Directory
Luanda - The drafting of the Statistics Directory of the Ministry of Higher Education, launched on Monday in Luanda, is a key tool in the administration and management of the academic institutions of the sector in the country.

This was said by the minister of Higher Education, Adão do Nascimento, when addressing the act of the launch of the manual.
He said that the Statistics Directory of the Ministry of Higher Education will fill in a gap in different areas of the sector.
The country, he said, will henceforth have a statistics material that is intended to be unique, periodical, reliable and official, with a great meaning for the administration and management of the higher education institutions in Angola.
The manual, highlighted the minister, is an instrument that will also facilitate the supervision and evaluation process of performance and materialization of the programmes established by the higher education institutions.
According to the minister, the Statistics Directory of the Ministry of Higher Education will equally serve as the base for conducting several studies and contribute to the customized presence, confident and dign of Angola at the international meetings.
He said that 2014 Statistics Directory of the Ministry of Higher Education comprises detailed elements that enlighten the quantitative and qualitative development of the higher education institutions in different domains such as organization and management, teaching and learning, scientific research and university expansion.
The drafting of the manual counted on the participation of national technicians of the Office of Studies, Planning and Statistic of the Ministry of Higher Education, as well as Cuban experts.
