Angola and Portugal discuss reinforcement of co-operation in higher education
Luanda - The reinforcement of co-operation at the level of the higher education sector was discussed last Monday, in Luanda, by the Angolan incumbent minister of this sector, Adão do Nascimento, and the visiting Portuguese Foreign minister, Rui Machete.

Speaking to the press, moments after the meeting, Adão do Nascimento admitted that the gathering was very fruitful and touched on pertinent issues relating to the reinforcement of bilateral relations in higher education.
In his turn, Rui Machete said that the meeting also served to arrange a meeting of university principals and officials in charge of higher polytechnic institutes of both countries.
They also discussed the possibility for the Portuguese government to increase the number of scholarships for Angolan citizens to study in Portugal.
According to the Portuguese Foreign minister, it was also analysed a vast programme with the aim of facilitating and improving the training of young people.
Rui Machete arrived in Luanda last Monday morning for a three-day official visit, in the ambit of the strengthening of the bilateral co-operation.
