Higher Education grants over nine thousand scholarships

Luanda - At least 9,200 scholarships are guaranteed for higher education, in this Academic Year, reads a statement from the Commission on Social Policy of the Council of Ministers, held on Tuesday in Luanda.

According to the note of the Second session of the Commission, chaired by the Vice President of the Republic, Manuel Vicente, are planned 8000 internal scholarships and 1,200 external one.

It states that they will be divided into the 18 provinces. Also in this area in 2014 were granted 7,186 internal and 1,009 external scholarships.

In the field of sports, the Commission was informed about the holding in Angola of the World Cup of Sport Fishing, set for Lobito city, Benguela province, from 28th March to 4 April this year.

The event is seen as an opportunity for the country to inform the world of its economic, sporting and cultural potential, and expand the open sport fishing tourism to all citizens, contributing to the strengthening of friendship and solidarity among peoples.
