Government of Chile grants scholarships to Angola

Santiago - The Government of Chile has made available for the academic year of 2015 vacancies for Angolan students in the Chilean higher education institutions for training in areas such as Medicine, Engineering and Social Sciences.

Angolan ambassador to Chile, Nelson Cosme

This was transmitted on Friday to the ambassador of Angola to Chile residing in Brazil, Nelson Manuel Cosme, who is since Thursday in the Chilean capital Santiago, for a working visit at the invitation of the local authorities to review the Joint Action Plan (PAC) signed in September 2014 in New York between the Foreign ministers of the two countries.

The joint action plan between Chile and Angola is an instrument of political and economic cooperation between the two countries centered to education, agriculture, energy and mining, health and public policy as the priority sectors for the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The PAC also set up a mechanism for regular bilateral consultations, based on which is inscribed the current working visit of ambassador Nelson Cosme to Chile, where he was already received by the minister of Foreign Affairs, HeraldoValenzuela.
