Foreign, Education ministries sign training agreement

Luanda- The ministries of Foreign Affairs (Mirex) and Higher Education (MES) Friday in Luanda signed a cooperation accord for training in diplomacy and international relations in the higher education subsistence.

The accord was signed by incumbent ministers of Foreign Affairs, George Rebelo Chikoti, and Higher Education, Adão do Nascimento.

According George Chikoti, the deal is signed under the Institute of International Relations and will ensure the continuation of its training programme and due recognition by the Higher Education Ministry.

 “The two institutions are making one more contribution to the training of personnel in Angola in a facilitated way,” he explained.

In his turn, Adão do Nascimento said the deal is part of the priorities of the Government to continue training people in various sectors and MES supports the intention with the commitment to integrating the said institute in the Higher Education subsystem.

He added the two institutions will expand their training action to other specialties  covered by the International Relations Institute, as the various services of the Angolan diplomacy need qualified personnel.
