Angola/US university cooperation defended
Luanda - Angolan minister of Higher Education Adão do Nascimento has defended the creation of conditions for cooperation between Angolan and US universities in scientific field.

Adão do Nasciemento was addressing a meeting on reflection on the past and current Africa, held Tuesday in New Jersey, United States.
The event fall on the month of February dedicated to the history of black American.
In his speech the official mentioned five relevant challenges to transform the Angolan Higher Education - the first is related to the consolidation of the strategic vision of development of higher education, the 2nd has to do with consolidation of regulatory standards to improve the functioning of higher education institutions and education system.
The minister also said that the third is linked to the re-organisation of the institutional capacity of the human and financial resources sector, the 4th has to do with the creation of mechanisms to promote and encourage the best examples of personalities of the institution, while the 5th is related to the creation of methods to consolidate a good quality assurance system of higher education.
The event was presided over by the vice president of Kean University, Philip Connelly, who praised the organisation's engagement and thanked the Angolan delegation for participating at the event.
Kean University, founded in 1855, runs more than 50 courses.
