Filipe Zau said so when delivering a speech at the opening ceremony of UNIA’s 2016 Academic Year, having stressed that the classes are starting in a context marked by a strong economic and financial crisis, caused by the substantial fall of the price of crude-oil in the international market.
He said that UNIA, just like other higher education institutions, has been making adjustments to its functioning because of the crisis, including adjustments to the fees.
He explained that such adjustments have been preceded by a process of frank dialogue with the students associations.
“As we know, in the present context, the matter regarding the adjustment of the fees in higher education is very delicate (...)”, said Filipe Zau.
He seized the occasion to appeal to lecturers and staffs of the UNIA to improve their skills and knowledge so that the institution can improve its services as well.
