Over 57 youths in China for scholarship

Luanda - At least 57 Angolan youths arrived in China over the weekend for a five to six-year training programme furthering their education in various higher education institutions of the Asian country.

Of the beneficiaries, according to a press release from the Embassy of Angola in China, 42 students are under the Eduardo dos Santos Foundation (FESA) and the National Institute Scholarship (INAGBE).

Coming from all Angolan provinces, the students aged between 17 and 2o years will study such subjects as electrical and civil engineering, pharmacy and computer studies.

Other students under Agostinho Neto Foundation are expected on Monday, joining another 200 who are already in China.

The programme follows a protocol signed by the governments of Angola and China.
