Carlos Yoba said so to the press at the end of a
a lecture on "University Extension - concepts and experiences", sponsored by the Private University of Angola (UPRA).
He said that the university is, by excellence, a research center with primary function to form the mentalities, playing a leading role in forming the personality during its development.
In his view, university extension is one of the key foundations on which the "tripod" that characterises higher education institutions is sustained.
In a modern vision, he said, the actions of university extension strengthen and deepen the policies that ensure the integral development of educational institutions and reinforce the sense of social mission.
The Dean mentioned some aspects such as teaching, research and university extension as the main pillars of higher education.
