Education sector to hold public tender every year

Menongue - Public tender in Education sector will take place every year, starting next year, announced the minister of Education, Maria Candida Teixeira, stressing that the move is meant to hire more teachers for the teaching system.

The minister announced so at the opening ceremony of the public tender in Education/2018 at countrywide, held in Menongue, south-east Cuando Cubango province on Tuesday.

The official said the sector is expected to hire 20,000 new teachers in the country's 18 provinces.

After a four-year break, the public education tender will be launched on a regular basis - annually - to recruit more teachers for many schools in construction in the country, she said.

The minister reassured the job applicants failing their pre-employment tests to maintain their good mood, adding that the process still keeps going in the coming years.

The government is committed to creating  employment for young people, the minister guaranteed.

In Cuando Cubango province some 1, 203 jobs are available for new teachers.
