Governor of Namibe wants more commitment from school inspectors

Moçâmedes - Governor of southern Namibe province, Carlos Cruz, on Thursday in Moçâmedes city, urged members of the school inspectorate to redouble their efforts to improve the performance of teachers and raise the quality of teaching in the district.

The governor said so when participating in the ceremony to launch a program of the Savings and Credit Bank called BPC - Salary for primary teachers in the region.

He also said that the government of the province of Namibe is committed to improving the quality of teaching, so school inspection should be more rigorous in its performance.

The school inspectorate, he stressed, must be more involved in monitoring the work of the teacher in the classroom, in order to achieve excellence in teaching.

About the program BPC- Salário, Carlos Cruz said that the initiative intends to provide social and economic benefits to teachers.
