Bie: Government wants skilled staff

Cuito - The training of personnel with required expertise is among the priorities of the government of central Bie province, said Monday the Vice Governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector of Bié.

Carlos Ulombe Silva said that the move is intended to boost development of the region.

Speaking to Angop, the vice governor reiterated the government commitment to invest in higher education.

He said that the local government wants  to provide skill to the youth, mainly in the  technical, scientific and moral fields.

According to him, the higher education will enable the young people to actively cooperate with constructive ideas in the various sectors of political, social and cultural life.

As for the expansion of university training, he assured that the local government is working on creation of nucleus through the pedagogical higher school in the municipalities of Andulo and Camacupa.

The vice governor also spoke of the need to help young people invest in entrepreneurship, by creating small initiatives (businesses) to help develop the region.

The province has Pedagogical Higher School, the Polytechnic School and the Polytechnic School of Cuito.
