The official made the statement when speaking at the opening ceremony of the fourth scientific conference of the Bié Pedagogical Higher School (ESPB), which run until Friday (31) under the motto "Training with scientificity and ethics to transform Angolan society."
Carlos da Silva said that scientific research is an important academic tool in the search for solutions to social, economic, political and cultural problems in society.
Scientific research, he emphasized, is an indispensable part of the teaching and learning process in teacher education.
According to the deputy governor, without scientific research the teaching activity is devoid of quality and effectiveness.
"Those who do not investigate are subject to repeat the same issues, do not innovate and the result of this work will not have the quality required," he argued.
At the event, participants will discuss topics related to "Curriculum and teacher training in higher education", "Education and environment", among other academic subjects.
