The information was given last Thursday, in Luanda, by the national director for Adults Education, Evaristo Pedro, on a brief interview to ANGOP in the ambit of the celebrations of the International Literacy Day, to be marked on 08 September.

Evaristo Pedro disclosed that the institution has already taken steps towards drafting all the juridical documents relating to the adults education  programme, both in terms of academic studies and vocation training.

He went on to explain that adult education means providing practical knowledge and skills for immediate benefit and use of the adult and not the conveying of academic content for the future.

This year, International Literacy Day is being commemorated under the motto “Literacy and the development of competencies”.
