Ministry stresses quality Education as challenge for 2018/2022 term
Luanda - The provision of quality education to raise the human development index is one of the main challenges for the Government in the five-year term as from 2018-2022.

Maria Cândida Teixeira, minister of Education
The Minister of Education, Cândida Teixeira, who spoke on Wednesday in Luanda, at the opening of the Advisory Council of the sector, said that there is awareness that this target represents a challenge for all stakeholders, namely the Government, the makers of teaching and learning process, and society as a whole, with particular emphasis on the invaluable contribution of the churches.
Cândida Teixeira acknowledged the need to provide adequate response to the school explosion, with the hiring of more teachers, construction of school infrastructures, as well as the acquisition and distribution of teaching resources, so that schools, as service providers, have excellence to offer to the population.
The Cabinet official appealed to the cadres to strive for the demand of this basic need of society.
Under the motto "Empowering the teacher is guaranteeing quality education for all", for two days, technicians from the Ministry of Education (MED) will analyze the state of the sector, and present plans and proposals for 2019.
This is the first advisory council of the five-year term 2018-2022.
