ADPP provides 62 teachers for rural areas of Cuando Cubango

Menongue - At least 62 new teachers from the School of Teaching of Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) at southern Cuando Cubango province were graduated last Wednesday in Menongue after three years of training.

With 16 teachers, the school, located in the commune of Missombo, 18 kilometers south of the city of Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, since its operation in 2013, has already launched 280 teachers in the labor market.

The director of the School of Teaching (DAPP) - Cuando Cubango, Walter Alexandre, said that during the three years of training and internship the new teachers lectured 1,947 children in the rural areas of Cuando Cubango in 21 primary schools.

The official reported that the teachers carried out 62 micro-projects and community activities and assisted children with special needs.

In this regard, the director recognized that the new teachers dignified the profession, because they worked hard in places without drinking water, light, access to basic needs.

He also highlighted the partnership between the Ministry of Education and DAPP Angola, through the teaching schools, in a mission that does not consist of training any teacher, but he who is adequate to the needs of the beneficiary populations.
