The recognition came from the Deputy Director for Academic Field of Higher Institute of Education Science (ISCED/Luanda, Zavoni Ntondo.

Zavoni Ntondo, who was speaking Monday at the opening of the languages, didactics and literature week in Africa, stressed the quality education in the country.

He said the lack of scientific research in a higher education institution impedes the quality teaching.

According to him, the country has teachers with a high degree of knowledge and reasonable scientific positions on teaching languages and literatures to address this situation.

Ntondo said that the great task of a higher education institution is to pass on knowledge through the human, cultural, scientific and technological training of its students.

To him, the meeting brings together experts not only in language and literature, but also in methodology, so that language teaching becomes effective and qualitative, providing a room for debate on issues related to social sciences applied to education.

In turn, the head of the Department of African Languages and Literatures, Abreu Paxi, said the meeting will create possibilities to discuss, through reflections and contributions, the elements that guide the department's concerns as the promotion of national languages.
