Education Ministry delivers free textbooks

Luanda - The Education Ministry on Thursday said it has started the free distribution of 37.5 million primary school textbooks in Angola’s 18 provinces from primary education to Grade 6 for the current school year.

Data from the National Public Education System shows that an overall 10 million pupils have been enrolled for the current school year.

Early this week, the Ministry of Education said it will tackle overcrowding classrooms this academic year through the construction of new schools to enable teachers to work with recommended number of students and improve the learning and teaching process.
