Govt to evaluate performance in higher education sector
Luanda - The higher educational subsystem has announced plans to launch from next year the evaluation process for teachers in the sector with a view to enhancing the personal and professional value of the staff, ANGOP learnt on Wednesday.

Under the Regulation of the Performance Evaluation System for Higher Education Teachers, published in the Official Gazette (DR) of 27 April,the process will also ensure the permanent improvement of the teaching activity.
On the other hand, the evaluation also boosts the scientific, academic and social reputation of higher education institutions and lays down rules and procedures that ensure the evaluation of the performance of teachers in the higher education subsystem.
Angop also learnt that the evaluation covers academics from public and private higher education institutions integrated in the teaching career of higher education.
The source also announced plans for creation of an ad-hoc commission tasked with assessing the performance of academics, under the methodology for obtaining the final classification.
