Egypt offers scholarships to Angolans

Luanda - Egypt offered to Angola five annual scholarships at graduate and postgraduate levels in medicine and nursing, agronomic engineering, information and communication technologies, law and trade.

The offer came during a working meeting between the Angolan ambassador, Nelson Cosme, and the Executive Secretary of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, Rasha Kamal.

The Egyptian official expressed her country's availability to offer to Angolan students training in next academic year in its higher education institutions.

During the meeting, the two interlocutors analyzed ways to increase cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Angola.

The Egyptian side took the opportunity to reaffirm its interest in seeing technical and scientific cooperation with Angolan institutions implemented as soon as possible to ensure the strengthening of bilateral relations.

 She also expressed desire to see increased the number of scholarships, similar to what happens to some countries in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
