Luanda international jazz festival set for July

Luanda – The third edition of Luanda International Jazz Festival is set for 29, 30 and 31 July in Atlântico cinema.
This was announced on Tuesday in a press conference.
According to the director of the festival, António Cristovão, the organisers are creating conditions so as to hold the event, and thus overcome the expectations of the previous editions in order to guarantee prestige and provide other dynamisms to the festival.
The festival happens annually in Luanda.
The following musicians have already confirmed their participation in the event: Simons Massine (Angola), Moreira Project (Mozambique), Liquedeep (South Africa), Black Cooper (South Africa), and Spvro Gyra (USA).
Dee Dee Bridgewater from the United States of América and Jonathan Butler of South Africa are also expected to perform in the festival.
The festival will also count on the participation of Rui Veloso (Portugal), Ismael Lo, and Mayra Andrade (Cape Verde).
According to the organisers, other artists are to be confirmed a reason why the main singer of the edition is not yet named. Jorge Benson was the highlight of 2010 edition.
