Uige City hosts book fair to salute Independence Day commemoration
Uige - A book fair kicked off last Monday in Uige City, northern province with the same name, under the promotion of the LSD Comercial firm, in the ambit of the celebrations of the 42nd independence anniversary of the Republic of Angola, to be marked on 11 November.

The fair, set to close on Independence Day, is displaying books on Law, History, Geography, Portuguese Language, Philosophy, Nursing, Accounting and management, among others.
The event also has on display several manuals for primary and secondary school students, as well as books by national and foreign authors.
Speaking to ANGOP, the general director of LSD Comercial, Lussevikueno Domingos, stressed that the firm joins the efforts of the local government, by placing in the market some didactic material, in view of the difficulties that students face in this area.
He appealed to students in this region and all the literature loving citizens to flock to the fair and acquire some educational material.
In the ambit of the Independence celebrations, the Provincial Government of Uige has programmed several public activities, such as football tournaments, musical and cultural events, among others.

Uíge - Several literary works by Angolan and foreign writers have been exhibited today in the city of Uíge at the book fair promoted by the provincial directorate of Culture to greet 15 years of peace, which is celebrated on Tuesday 04 April.
