65 exhibitors participate in 8th edition of Dondo Trade Fair

Dondo - At least 65 exhibitors are participating on 15-16 December in the 8th edition of Dondo Trade Fair, aimed at paying tribute to Lunda Norte province, displaying the main pieces of art that represent the chokwe culture.

Lunda Norte province's delegation is comprised by four exhibitors who will show the region's cultural representation for two days.

The province of Cabinda, which also marks its initial entry into the fair, will be represented by two exhibitors with pieces of art representing the Fiote culture.

The activity is expected to ends Saturday in the historic village of Dondo in Cambambe municipality in northern Cuanza Norte province and will also count on the participation of exhibitors from Luanda, Uige, Cuanza Sul and Malanje.

The initiative aims at promoting greater representation of the national culture, taking into account the dimension already achieved by the fair, as part of the rescue of the history of the kingdom of Ndongo.

The Dondo Fair is a brand with its purpose of rebuilding the history, essentially of the kwanza corridor, as main route of colonial penetration to the interior of the country.

The government of the province of Cuanza Norte and the Ministry of Culture intend with the event to initiate a diplomatic action, through its dissemination, in view of Angola's intention to enlist the Kwanza corridor as a world heritage site.
