Innovation and creativity contribute to development of societies
Luanda - The Secretary of State for Culture, Cornélio Caley, said Thursday in Luanda that innovation and creativity are important factors in the affirmation and development of the Angolan society.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the debate on "Transfer of knowledge to the productive sector and protection of intellectual property", the official said that innovation and creativity are the leverage for the development of different segments of the society, taking into account the production of new products.
Nevertheless, according to the official, it is essential to recognize and value the work of the Angolan creators, giving them the needed conditions to better develop their action without constraints, so as to make available all their knowledge to the public.
The event, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, will be developed around panels on "The generation of knowledge and its transfer to the productive sector", "The administrative management of creations and innovations and the protection of intellectual property", "The Marketing of Innovative Products and Goods" and "The Implementation of Laws".
For two days, participants representing the various ministerial departments and associations linked to the cultural and productive sector will review issues related to the creation, registration of property, as well as copyright and related rights.
The event is part of the Executive's strategy, through the Ministry of Culture, in which intellectual property and copyright protection is concerned.
