Government members informed about Mbanza Kongo registration

Mbanza Kongo - The members of Zaire Provincial Government were in Mbanza Kongo Monday, informed about the moment that marked the inscription of the historical and cultural center of Zaire historical city, in the list of world heritage.

Zaire: Ordinary meeting of the provincial government

The meeting was chaired by  the Provincial Governor, José Joanes André, who  participated  in the 41st Session of the members of UNESCO World Heritage Committee from 2 to 12 July in  Krakow city in  Poland, to describe the moments before, during and after the consecration.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the third ordinary government meeting, José Joanes André said that the work of national and foreign specialists who worked on the dossier made it possible to discover the vestiges that proved that the Kingdom of Kongo existed since the 13th century and which peaked in the fifteenth century.
