This was said on Monday in Lubango city by the vice chairperson of Sindika Dokolo Foundation, Fernando Alvim.
The event will bring together several theatre groups from the provinces of Huambo, Benguela, Cuanza Sul, Namibe, Cuando Cubango, Cunene and Huíla, which have already been invited for the festival.
The event, said the foundation representative, aims at spreading the national cultural identity through the scenic arts and its artistic value in several genres of theatre.
According to him, theatre is the art of educating and raising awareness of the society on the importance of the civic duty through the representation art.
“The groups must convey a synopsis with its background and acceptable content in their play for better performance in the stage”, said the official, adding that the venue for the event to take place is yet-to-be confirmed.
The Sindika Dokolo Foundation is a public organization founded in 2005 with objective of spreading and valuing the national culture through various arts.
