Benguela: Artists meet to face new challenges

Benguela - The Angolan Cultural and Literary Association (ALCA) will hold its II General Assembly from 28 September to 1 October this year under the theme "New challenges, even commitment", in order to revitalize the national management structures and redefine the guiding principles of the class.

According to a note from the ALCA, made available to Angop on Wednesday, the meeting will bring together writers, poets, musicians, journalists, actors, chroniclers, among other artists from the provinces of Bié, Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Huíla, Namibe, Luanda , Moxico, Uíge and Benguela.

At the meeting, delegates will define and approve programs, strategic plans and accounts reports, as well as systematize actions aimed at the operation of representative structures of the association.

Following the debates on the agenda, the assembly will acclaim the honorary members of the ALCA, namely writer and journalist Daniel Patissa, writer and lawyer Ana Stoppa, cultural teacher and agent Alberto Alberto N,Gongo, researcher and teacher Leonardo Pedro and professor Mário Rodrigues.
