Carolina Cerqueira, who spoke in the end of an ecumenical religious service, stressed that this move is intended to be a recognition of this Tchokwe culture artefact, just like the country did with the recognition of Mbanza Kongo City by UNESCO.
On the occasion, the minister appealed for caution in the exercise of the religious freedom, having into account the appearance of many “false prophets” who explore the faithful and sometimes act against the juridical order.
The minister, who arrived in Dundo City last Friday to chair the main act in the celebrations of the National Culture Day, marked on January 08, said that she counts on the collaboration of churches for the projects in pipeline for the sector.
The culture day main ceremony is to be attended by government officials, politicians, civil society members and senior staffs of the Culture Ministry.
