Cultural diplomacy boosts friendship among Angolans - minister

Luanda - The Cultural diplomacy coupled with expanding process of the Angolan culture strengthens the Diaspora and forges closer brotherhood and friendship ties between the Angolan and foreign communities, said the Culture minister Carolina Cerqueira on Sunday in Lisbon, Portugal.

Culture minister meets with artist class

The Culture minister was speaking during a socialisation ceremony with the Angolan artistic community residing in Portugal, in the framework of the visit of the Angolan president, João Lourenço, to the European country.

The minister said that national artists have the mission to promote the value as well as dissemination and preservation of the feature identifying of the Angola, regardless the place where they are.

"We are all Angolans, whether we reside in Angola or abroad, our main focus is to enhance Angola through our culture. Ranging from fashion, music, plastic arts, gastronomy, literature to dance, we must show the world our culture, "said Carolina Cerqueira.

The minister said that the Executive, through the Ministry of Culture, is committed to promoting actions aimed to gather, enhance and disseminate the Angolan cultural.
