Huila Province's regional museum

The new infrastructure is expected to receive a huge number of ethnological collections, photos and archaeological artefacts that are being currently kept in a compartment of the museum.

Should this new infrastructure be built, it will serve better the regional culture and attract more investors to boost the tourism sector in the region, said the director of Huila’s Regional Museum, Soraia Ferreira after a meeting with tourism associations and agents and the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin.

In the said meeting, it was seized the opportunity to request to the Chinese diplomat the possibility to support the construction of the museum under the intended investment for Huila Province.

The Regional Museum of Huila was founded in 1957and has 1,100 artefacts, while it is waiting for an inventory of 1,526 other pieces.
