Angola at African World Heritage Expert Meeting
Luanda - Angola is attending the 3rd meeting of African experts of the World Heritage Committee underway until June 10th in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The country is represented at the event by a delegation of Culture Ministry led by National Director of Museums, Ziva Domingos.
The participants are expected to assess the level of performance of the African experts at sessions of the World Heritage Committee.
The participants will also prepare the African Participation Strategy at the 42nd session of the World Heritage Committee to be held in Manama (Barheim), from 24 June to 4 July 2018.
The meeting is also expected to prepare a document of African reflection on the balance between sustainable development and conservation of world heritage.
The document will be approved by the Heads of State of the African Union in January 2019.
The meeting gathers experts from Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, the African World Heritage Fund, UNESCO World Heritage Center and ICCROM.
