This information was given last Sunday by the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sport of Cuanza Norte, Paulo Tonet, at the close of the tenth edition of the event, which took place from 20 November to 1 December of the current year.

The official stressed that this measure will bring up changes in the outsourcing of services, for better management of the event, and the periodicity, which will go from annual to uninterrupted.

Paulo Tonet said that the Dondo Handicraft Fair does not yet have its own budget, a fact that has created difficulties in its organization.

The Ministry of Culture will continue providing methodological support to maintain the objectives and standards of the event.

The provincial director recalled that the fair has become an important trading post, so it is the concern of the local government to increase its size as the largest business exchange in the former Ndongo Kingdom.

The 10th edition of the Dondo Fair, which took place under the motto “Dondo - traditional place of cultural convergence and business”, was attended by 69 exhibitors, including five of the 10 municipalities of Cuanza Norte province, as well as from provinces of Luanda and Cabinda.
