Speaking to journalists at the end of the meeting with the 11 African-American specialists who are in the country at the invitation of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World (Tocoista), Carolina Cerqueira said that cooperation must take into account the availability, experience and the means which can be made available for the purpose of establishing a fruitful and profitable exchange for the cultural and spiritual development of the people and above all for the recovery of the civic and spiritual values of youth.
Minister Carolina emphasized the urgent need, at the level of African societies, to promote education, particularly for youth, on the African slavery movement for the Americas, as a way to jointly seek African roots in the Diaspora.
"We find that in America there are blood roots of the Angolan slaves who left the country 400 years ago and went to these lands, whose descendants are today successful businesspeople, researchers, teachers and politicians," he said.
In this context, Carolina Cerqueira defended that African countries and Angola in particular, create ties of cooperation, solidarity, friendship to gather experience and knowledge, as well as the affections of this community.
