Culture Ministry wants to make Mbanza Kongo a cultural touristic site
Luanda - The Ministry of Culture (Mincult) is committed to turn Mbanza Kongo historical site into a cultural touristic product, through a mega celebration campaign in the ambit of the festivities of the city inclusion in UNESCO World Heritage list.

In order for this goal to be achieved, a campaign is underway since Monday, for the promotion of Mbanza Kongo as well as awareness-raising of the national and international entities on the importance of preserving the tourist site.
Mbanza Kongo city located in the north region of Angola, was declared a World Heritage on 08 July of 2017 by the UNESCO Committee.

Luanda - The Ministry of Culture will run in 2019 the 4th International Roundtable on Mbanza Kongo and FestiKongo as part of the divulging and valorization of this world heritage, said on Wednesday in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, the Angolan secretary of State for Culture, Maria da Piedade de Jesus.

Mbanza Kongo - Ambassador of Poland to Angola Piotr Mysliwiec Sunday in Mbanza Kongo, northern Zaire province, expressed his country's availability to support Angola in preservation of the historic sites and monuments of this world heritage city.
