Commission assesses scholarships and Luanda Biennale programme
Luanda - The multi-sectoral commission, which along with UNESCO has prepared the conditions for the holding of the Pan-African Forum for Culture of Peace, Biennale of Luanda, and implementation of the training on doctor degree, gathered Friday to assess the actions undertaken so far.

The meeting presided over by the commission’s coordinator, the minister of Culture, Carolina Cerqueira, imparted information on the data concerning to the training project on doctor degree in Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, as well as the holding of the fair for investors.
The programme for the allocation of scholarship on doctor degree foresees to allocate 165 scholarships for the development of scientific researches with all applicable and necessary resources.
On the occasion, the Culture minister also detailed on the schedule of the Biennale of Luanda to take place from September 18-21, having 16 African countries confirmed their presence as well as Italy and Brazil.
The event, which is being jointly-organized by the Angolan government and UNESCO, expects to involve the African countries in a chain destined to the promotion of culture of peace.
With holding of the Biennale of Luanda, Angola seeks to promote the harmony and brotherhood through activities and cultural and civic manifestations under the integration of African elites, representatives of the civil society, chieftains, religious entities, intellectuals and sports people.
It also shows the political willingness of the Angolan government to establish a closer cooperation with UNESCO, with view to promoting a true culture of peace in Africa.
